"Roses of Golestan" with Rossini Club at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, FL

The Marly Music Series Presents the Rossini Club | Roses of Golestan

Golestan (translated as “Rose Garden”) is many things in Iranian culture: A province, a historic place in Tehran, and one of the most important works of Persian literature. Join the musicians of the Rossini Club in this concert inspired by Ali Banisadr: The Alchemist as they explore the artist’s all-encompassing work in musical facets. Themes of conflict, beauty, synesthesia, and cultural fusion serve as landmarks as they journey through this musical rose garden featuring works by Messiaen, Sorabji, Ravaei, and others.
