Hoppa Project performs with the Bowen McCauley Dance Company at the Kennedy Center, celebrating the dance company’s retirement performance. Hoppa Project, founded by Turkish composer Erberk Eryilmaz, promotes the music of Eastern Europe and the Middle East through performing a range of styles from folk to newly commissioned contemporary music. The McCauley Dance Company will perform Eryilmaz’s “Insistent Music,” along with works composed by German/Croatian composer Nikola Glassi.
Performers from Hoppa Project include Evie Chen, violin, Marisa Ishikawa, violin, Korine Fujiwara, viola, Bree Ahern, cello, and Erberk Eryilmaz, piano and percussion.
